Preparing for WCD2023
Some useful hints before arriving in Singapore
Pre-Departure
Pack for the tropics
Singapore has a hot, humid climate with intermittent thunderstorms. Loose clothes, sunscreen and a small umbrella are useful items when sightseeing.
What not to bring
A list of prohibited and controlled items is here.
Smokers take note: Any quantity of tobacco products, even if for personal consumption, are subject to duties and must be declared upon entry. Vaporisers are completely prohibited.
Submit your Arrival Card
Please do so here from 3 days prior to arrival.
Entry requirements
Travellers from some countries are subject to Visa or Yellow Fever requirements. Please check here.
Essential for the congress
Earphones
Selected sessions are available for streaming via the congress app. Please bring earphones for this purpose.
Water bottle
To reduce plastic consumption, bottled water will not be provided. Please bring your own bottle. Water dispensers are on-site for re-filling.
Conference app
Download the congress app for up-to-date information and programme changes.
Dining
Plenty of food options and various cuisines are available in Suntec City and Marina Square.
Getting around singapore
Transport card
You will get a Pre-loaded Travel Card when you arrive for the congress. This can be used for travel on our buses and MRT.
Point-to-point travel
There are a number of taxi and private-hire companies providing private transportation, a list of which can be found here.
