Advanced Histopathology – (Inflammatory skin disease)
A good diagnosis is the most important step in the patient’s treatment. Eight world-wide dermatopathologists will illustrate how to avoid diagnostic pitfalls, whilst sharing their histopathologic clues and ‘pearls of wisdom’ in reaching a confident diagnosis.
This session celebrates the value of clinical-pathological correlation and underscores the universal motto ” Dermatopathology is Dermatology and Dermatology is Dermatopathology”.
Objectives: Recognize key light and microscopic features of common, unusual and rare entities.
Topics: Inflammatory diseases; infectious diseases; HIV; photoeruptions; lichenoid diseases; alopecia.
Learning points: Differentiate diseases with overlapping histopathologic features; gain new information of emerging roles in dermatopathology from the presented cases.
